As if going to a new school as a fifth grader wasn’t bad enough, on the eve of starting at Blue Eagle Elementary, ten-year-old Miles Knight overhears his best friend laughing about his stutter…to their other friends.

Now terrified to fit in, Blue Eagle senses his desperation and a long-dormant magic awakens. When Miles and his new classmates, Cam and Sofia, visit the library, they discover a hidden room, a sparkling vial of water, and an ancient poem. Miles is certain they are meant for him, so after he bombs a speech in front of his class and a bully mocks his voice, he doesn’t hesitate to do as the poem says and make a wish.

It works and Miles loves that words finally roll off his tongue. His confidence is at an all-time high until his water turns into glittery bits all over the classroom floor and a mysterious someone in the school blocks access to more and ruins miles’ hope of ever being accepted.
